As the Netherlands integrates rising volumes of variable renewable energy and addresses increased demands on its electric infrastructure, system integration has become critical for effective energy use. System integration criteria are now an important part of many offshore wind tenders. Common Futures – in co-operation with tender consultancy Flux Partners - supported a major international offshore wind developer in strengthening their system integration capabilities to improve their competitiveness in future Dutch tenders and other tenders further afield.
This analysis entailed a multi-criteria analysis to identify the most suitable and promising system integration solutions for the developer. Alongside this technical analysis, we performed a competitor analysis to improve the understanding of the competitive landscape, learn lessons from market leaders, and explore potential partnerships to help the company quickly build system integration expertise.
